星洲日報．大北馬─2011年2月25日）吉華百年校慶又一計劃開跑，工作隊伍昨日（25日）召集6所吉華母校學弟學妹，在吉華二校禮堂舉辦“舞藝一日營”，從中選拔準備在7月30日校慶萬人宴演出的史詩式舞劇舞蹈員。
這場策劃多時的史詩式舞劇，是吉華百年校慶的重頭節目之一，由舞蹈老師陳茹玲和前吉華戲劇學會要員謝懷節領導的工作隊伍，召集吉華國中、吉華二校、吉華獨中以及吉華HKS三所小學合計130餘學弟學妹，開開心心入營學舞蹈。
吉華百年校慶總策劃陳紹安在一日營開場環節，為參與學生進行激勵演講，包括講述吉華百年校史，以及組織百人舞蹈團、呈獻百年校史舞劇的深層意，希望先感召在藉學弟學妹感恩先賢艱辛創校的功績，更重要的是珍惜今日大家都能接受華文教育，並在華校蘊含的華人文化氛圍中學習和成長。他說，這是首階段的選拔，第二階段將召集中學武術學會人員，因為在將呈獻的百年史詩舞劇當中，極有可能穿插舞龍、舞獅環節，這也意味這是一場國內首度出現，把舞龍、舞獅納入舞蹈演出的紀錄。
一日營從上午9時至下午4時，工作隊伍設計非常娛樂性的舞藝証題，參與學員都必須接受各項試題考驗，試題內容側重基本功能即柔操、演技、記憶、體能等，最終將錄取100名合格者正式成立百人舞蹈團，接踵就是安排練舞時間表，正式投入百人舞劇的集訓。吉華百年校慶工委包括總務盧有福、大慶典小組顧問傅吉仁和一批年輕理事包括梅宏基、林俊訓等自動自發到場協助工作，並給予參與舞蹈選拔的學弟學妹實際支持和精神鼓勵。
鑑於百年校慶各項任務極需更多人手參與工作，總策劃陳紹安呼吁有興趣的年輕校友，密切關注工委會通過《吉華全互動》網站（http://www.keathwaonline.com/）和百年校慶面子書發起的各項工作號召。
